SRM’s Independent General Counsel is James B. McCloskey, who served for 25 years in the Law Department of Norfolk Southern Corporation where he was involved in personal injury and cargo damage matters. In addition, he was responsible for supervision of all personal injury litigation of NS’s former North American Van Lines subsidiary. He is licensed in Missouri and Virginia. Upon request by the client, Mr. McCloskey will assist SRM in the investigation and evaluation of claims and provide a preliminary legal opinion. He can assist the client to identify and retain local counsel and work with counsel in preparation for litigation. Mr. McCloskey’s services are billed separately.
